She is also an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) and a Clinical Midwife Specialist in Lactation at the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin. Lisa’s motto is, ‘‘If you want anything done, ask a busy woman’’.
She obtained her midwifery degree from Trinity College Dublin and went on to work with The Community Midwifery Team (CMT) in Rotunda for 5 years and subsequently the postnatal ward where she developed a passion for supporting women with early breastfeeding challenges. As part of her work with CMT she cared for women through pregnancy in many of the outlying antenatal clinics and again, at home after their birth.
Corporate Lactation Support is commonplace in the USA. Lisa would like to see this kind of support offered to every working Mother and Father through company wellness programmes.
